A Milk Dud or Six.....ten.....or more actually

Ok well there are some left I promise....my wonderful friend Sharmaine brought back a packet of milk duds from New Zeland because she knows i looooovvveee them so much.  You can't buy them here in Tasmania....so she gave them to me today and I have already eaten some yummy....just so you know Sharmaine there are still some left and I even offered for Dale to have half lol....he politely declined hee hee.

Today I did lost of visiting.....lunch with teh Kruijvers and a show afterwards hee hee just kidding of course but always entertaining.  Then went to visit miss Bella Boo....which was fantastic.  She is so precious.  The a visit with Fi!!!  Love catching up with Fi Marie (that was just for you Sharmaine).  Some of the day was also spent doing school work so it wasn't all about me being a chatterbox.

Anyway just felt like blogging tonight even though there wasn't much to blog about....ohh nearly forgot Sharmaine also brought me some glimmer mist and I am going to use it for the first time tonight....never used this product before so can't wait to see how it turns out.

Can anyone tell I was a little lost and bored today?  I was meant to be studying but honestly didn't get much of that done...never mind.

Been a long time and OLW layout

Ok so I was determined not to blog anymore BUT.....I have started getting creative again so need somewhere to upload my layouts so I am back....though because of school work not on a day to day basis.
Just a very short post to show what I have created for the OLW challenge for LISTEN.  As soon as I saw this was the challenge I just had to do it, the word really appealed to me.

It is a booklet and it is says:
"Dear mikayla, Listen when we say we love you. Listen to the world and enjoy living life.  Talk and we will listen, but most of all listen to who  you are and embrace it"

A few pages

I know i have been a slack blogger and I have actually decided not to apologize but just to keep on with the post.  Studying is very busy but a whole lot of interesting and a whole lot of fun.  I have three layouts to share.  One I did a while back which forgot to share and two I did on the weekend when I was scrapping with Sharmaine.  The first one is for a challenge over at Scrapmojo.  Haven't done any challenges there before but a slight pushy...yet lovely friend convinced me to do it so now I am happy that I did as I finished my layout yippeeee (I mean the pushy in the most loving and caring way sharmaine hee hee)

The other two are just layouts I felt like doing.

I am not enjoying scrapping so much at the moment as it is such an effort.  I just want to enjoy it more and be happy with what I do.  I don't get as much time do it these days so want my mojo back for when I do.

OLW Challenge -create

Here is a layout that I thought I would share that was done for the One little word challenge Create. Was very inspired by this word so decided to jump on in and have a go! 

The Quality of this photo isn't so good so I may post a clearer one tomorrow!
On a side note......Am sitting here trying to decided weather I will keep scrapping for the night.  Have started a layout that I really wanted to make special.   I have chosen colours that look a bit strange but I think I kind of like it.  Yet I sit here and stress about what others think even though in reality it doesn't matter.  As long as I enjoy the process and get my message across that should be all that matters. sigh.....so I think I will continue with it and just see how it turns out!  I think the fact that my depression is a little off today isn't helping.  What I really want to say though is to just enjoy what you scrap!  Enjoy the process!!  In reality we are our own worst critics and what does it really matter anyway because being creative is about being free, about being free to interpret things into your own piece of "art"!  Don't forget to enjoy it!

It has been a busyish week which included a lovely visit from Sharmaine, Elizabeth and lucy.  Got some pictures of the girls.....here are one of each to share

It was also mums birthday so we had a family lunch on friday which was nice.  Updated some of my photos but realised that I always take the same type of my niece...just can't seem to get any others...maybe it is an age thing!!

I also took a  picture of my dessert yummo a banana Split.

I only have two weeks till I start Tafe, I am completely  scared but excited all in one!!  It has been a great while off  on holidays and I have been really enjoying the time out...although miss working at  times.    Dale has been completely busy and working very hard at work.  Poor guy will finally have a few days off this week  which he needs!

Now WAIT a minute.....

I don't know how many times I heard that today but it was rather comical coming from my Nana!  Went to visit her in the home she lives in with my mum and aunty.  We had a lovely time but Nana constantly used the phrase....Now wait a minute!! lol.  Seeing my Nana today reminded me how precious life is and that we should enjoy it best as we can while we can.   I have to say I hate where she is living I don't think it is the right place for her but that is where she had been put.  At least she got a nice lunch as we took her out to have lunch today!!!

I have also been doing an insane amount of running around today and phew am glad it is almost over.....just need to go and get Dale from work and then my day will be complete....can't wait to see him!

I also Just have to say that I am very excited by carols cj.  Love it,  guess it is relevant to me right now and I completely  love her sign in page and have seen nothing like it before!!  I will remember to take a photo of it before I send it back off!!!  Very clever Carol!!!!!!

this weekend I am scrapping with Sharmaine, Josiane, Aunty Judy and my mum. yayayyaya totally looking forward to it.  will be cooking them cup cakes and homemade apple pies...yummo.  Ohh the chorizo sausage and spinach pasta for dinner.....very excited!!!!

Being that I talked about my nana I thought I would share the things I remember about her that were precious to my childhood
*Playing in her garage under that house, taking the bikes down the drive and speeding down the hill into the garage!!
*playing card games and betting with either lollies, chocolate or toothpicks lol
*nana always likes to give people money so most often left the house with 50c.
*The smell of her house....Nana smell.  Miss that smell now that she isn't in her house anymore!!!
*Nana loves playing cards.
*Nana likes to feed people weather they need it or not.
*She loves little children but once their gone complains their noisy.

There just a few things.
would love to see others share what they love about a grandparent on their blogs as I think they are too often overlooked in our lives.

Oh Joy!

Today did not go as expected.  I actually thought my day would be fairly quiet.  I had a visit from one of my former daycare mummies and children today...their missing me and I was missing mr Owen too!!  Love him to bits.....heres a picture of the cutie!!

I love that these families keep in touch with me now that I am not doing the job anymore!!!
I spend some time with an Aunty today who could use some prayer please!!!  Loved the time I spent with her...!!
I also got a parcel in the mail with some scrapping stuff I ordered....yummmy.....will play with it all this weekend yay.
Then I headed to mums and spent some time with my nephews.  We took some silly photos with me holding the camera, was a lot of fun if not a little crazy.  Here are some silly and some serious photos lol.

I must say not very attractive photos of me though lol....but we had fun all the same.  Love those boys.
Sam tore himself away from a movie for two secs to give me this very serious photo lol

Lastly Jacob being as cute as ever lol

tonight I am hoping to work on a circle Journal and otherwise just relaxing.
